On my first attempt, my Reading was 13 / 25 and my Cultural Knowledge was 5 / 12. On the retake — after building the exact frameworks now inside this course, the CK Course, and the Reading Course — Reading went to 21 / 25 and CK went to 12 / 12, a perfect score.

There's no LK score on the score report — how do I know this course actually moved my score?
Right — LK doesn't have a dedicated line. But it's tested inside Listening and Reading, so your improvement shows up in those two section scores. On my retake, my combined Listening + Reading went from 34/50 to 44/50. LK content was part of what carried that gain. Watch those two lines on your retake score report.
Do I need the CK Course or Reading Course first?
Not required — the LK Course stands on its own. But if you're building the whole Praxis system, the recommended order is Reading Course first (comprehension is the foundation), then CK Course (cultural anchors), then LK Course (the linguistic layer that sits inside both).
Does this help with Writing and Speaking too?
Yes. Register — a sociolinguistic construct — is scored explicitly on all 6 constructed responses (3 Writing + 3 Speaking). So LK content moves ~12 items in Listening + Reading AND ~6 items in Writing + Speaking. Total leverage: about 18 items across four of the five test sections.
How is this different from a Spanish grammar textbook?
