The section I'd do differently.
I went from 159 to 174 and passed. Cultural Knowledge went from 5 to a perfect 12. Reading went from 13 to 21. But Speaking dropped from 12 to 6, with the same Spanish. Not because I couldn't speak. Because I walked in tired, still replaying the test, and judging every word.
So I built the course I wish I'd had: a plan for each task, a way to hear your own score, and a reset for test day. Then I watched it work for someone else.
"I was always confident in my speaking abilities as a native Spanish speaker, but when put under the pressure of a timer, I would get nervous and lose confidence. This time I remember, just need to breathe and speak about what I already know in reference to the prompt. Frequently asked
Are these the real ETS prompts?
No. Every practice prompt, passage and conversation in the course is original, written to match the official task format and timing. I describe what the official materials show, but I don't copy them. That means you practice the format, not memorize answers.
I'm a native or heritage speaker. Do I need this?
Gabby was a native speaker who had taken the test five times. Fluency isn't what's being tested on its own: it's whether you complete every part of the task, develop it, and deliver it clearly under a timer. That's a skill you can train.
Why does the course start with Task 3?
Task 3 has the shortest turns and the fastest wins, so you build confidence first. Then Task 2, then Task 1, the hardest one, which combines the reading passage with a presentation.
Does it cover testing at home and at a test center?
Yes. Lesson 5.1 walks through your setup for both, including a 20-second mic check, plus the Speaking Reset for the night before, between sections, between tasks and mid-sentence.
Will my practice scores match my official score?
They're practice estimates based on the rubric, not official ETS scores. What they give you is direction: your weakest check, your weakest task, and your gain from baseline to post-assessment.
