Writing is the one Praxis 5195 section where you run the clock: 3 tasks, 50 minutes, 18% of your score. On test day I spent 15 minutes on the email, the easiest task, and rushed the two essays that needed the time. 12 minutes is the fix I teach, and this course shows you how to make every minute count.

What's inside: 5 modules · 23 lessons + 2 bonus

  • Module 1 · Know the Section (FREE): the 3 tasks and their word minimums, how raters score (Complete · Develop · Deliver), the 12 / 18 / 18 clock, and the Form A Pre-Assessment, your baseline
  • Module 2 · Task 1: The Email: find every request (including the hidden one), keep usted from the first word to the last, and use Answer · Detail · Reason. Bonus A: accents + mechanics. Timed rep: one email, 12 minutes
  • Module 3 · Task 2: The Opinion Essay: stance in sentence 1, the 3-minute essay map, two reasons with specific examples, the other side + conclusion, and the 6-link transition chain. Timed rep: one prompt, 18 minutes
  • Module 4 · Task 3: The Integrated Essay: read the task first, mark both sides once, cite it in your own words, and add your own reasoning. Bonus B: rescue a weak response, from a 1 to a 3. Timed rep: one passage + task, 18 minutes
  • Module 5 · Test Day + Your Gain: the 2-minute proofread, the Writing Checklist + Mark / Review, the Form B Post-Assessment, your Gain Reveal and a 7-day test-week plan
